Åland Sea Jazz announces its first artist!

This year’s festival opens with a bang on Friday 15 August at Alandica, when soul queen LaGaylia Frazier (USA/SE)takes the stage with the symphonic wind masters of the Helsinki Police Band (FI). The audience will experience a powerful and emotional concert featuring iconic soul classics by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Tina Turner– performed in grand symphonic arrangements under the baton of conductor Sami Ruusuvuori. 

Åland Sea Jazz takes place 15–17 August with intimate and atmospheric concerts at the Seafarers Chapel, Alandica, and St. Olaf’s Church, and the evenings culminate in traditional jam sessions at Hotel Arkipelag.
