Nina Mya is an award-winning Finnish jazz singer who skillfully blends jazz, soul, and gospel in a way that is unique in the Nordic countries. As a performer, Nina Mya is known for her strong interpretive skills, her nuanced voice, and technical prowess.

The festival concert Jazz meets Gospel showcases Nina Mya’s love for gospel-influenced music, with some of the country’s finest jazz musicians, pianist Henri Mäntylä and saxophonist Joonatan Rautio, accompanying her. The ensemble brings a jazz spirit to gospel interpretations through improvisation.

Nina Mya has recorded and performed both domestically and internationally with several well-known artists, such as Iiro Rantala, Tim Hagans, and Frank McComb. Nina Mya’s fifth album, Searching My Soul, was released in collaboration with the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra in the spring of 2023.
