Teemu Viinikainen Trio (FIN)

Teemu Viinikainen is one of Finland’s best known and most respected jazz guitarists. Expression, groove, and virtuosity are all essential elements of his playing, yet what stands out most to the listener is his strong presence, sensitivity, and the beautiful tone of his guitar.

Teemu Viinikainen Trio brings together three highly regarded musicians from the Finnish jazz scene in a group where strong interplay and relaxed musical communication are at the center. Led by acclaimed guitarist Teemu Viinikainen, the trio combines lyrical melodies, bluesy tones, and deep jazz grooves into an intimate and expressive sound.

Trio performs new music composed by Viinikainen specifically for this ensemble. Alongside Teemu, the trio features his longtime collaborator, drummer Joonas Riippa, and rising talent Oliver Karttunen on acoustic bass guitar.
